{Happy Holidays!!}

Hello to all of our Family and Friends!  It's time to catch up with you before beginning a New Year!

 I hope this finds you well! I really can't believe Christmas is coming as quick as it is! Our celebrations will begin this coming Saturday and I have to be honest, I have the gifts, but none are wrapped! Landen and Caroline have been sick on and off for the past three weeks now. They've had colds, pink-eye, and now what seems to be a virus. Needless to say I just got done Cloroxing and Lysoling the house!

Aaron has unfortunately caught the latest bug that walked in our door. I'm hoping he will be feeling better soon. Aside from being sick-with whatever it is, he has been doing very well.  Work has been really busy for him. He is working on some various projects such as Xavier University, Premier Health, Children's Hospital Liberty, Kenwood Town Place, and another I can't remember at the moment.

This fall, Aaron interviewed with the March of Dimes of Cincinnati and was accepted onto the board.  He has been attending monthly meetings and we had the opportunity to attend one of their fundraising events- Signature Chef's Auction at the Horseshoe Casino.  Talk about some good food and a great night for a cause that we are both dedicated to. This past week Messer had a their ESOP (I don't know what the acronym means either...I just know it's a big yearly meeting) meeting and Aaron was presented the 2014 Messer Construction Compass Award for the Cincinnati Region.

The award is for Leading the way to excellence through serving as the Regional QLS Champion assisting project teams and elevation Project Specific Quality Plans and for recruiting, interviewing and hiring Building Systems Group co-ops for the Cincinnati Region and mentoring those individuals to become outstanding BSG employees. Needless to say we are very proud of Aaron.  He would NEVER share that he received this award to anyone.-it took fifteen minutes into a phone conversation with me for him to even mention it. He loves Messer and the work he is doing. I am so happy he is at such a wonderful company!

I am well and work is amazing! I am keeping busy at school with not only the kindergarten team, but also through mentoring teachers and attending steering committee meetings. I continue to love teaching kindergarten year after year and I am enjoying the challenges I'm presented through my other roles within Rockwern. I traveled to Chicago this past weekend for a conference with my co-worker. We stayed the weekend with her family and enjoyed the city and some sight seeing. I took a run to Lincoln Park on a chilly morning and it was an amazing change of scenery. Outside of work, my fun consists in hanging out with our family and I'm still posting weekly if not daily to my Mommy Blog (keepcalmandmommyon2@blogspot.com). It's fun outlet for me to share my journey with Landen and Caroline.

Landen and Caroline have been doing well outside of being sick. They are some of the most adventurous kids I know. Caroline prefers being outside no matter what the temperature is. Landen enjoys exploring too, but if it's a little chilly our he likes to head in after awhile. I have to say, being able to actually talk to both of them is SO fun. Everyday we are hearing new words pop up l- like Christmas and getting to listen to the most interesting conversations between the two of them.  There are times when words/phrases that fly out of their mouths that make you laugh like crazy.

 Caroline is all about Frosty the Snowman this year and Landen keeps saying, "Ho Ho Coming to Town?" Christmas morning is going to be THE BEST this year! I am hoping to video tape their faces the morning they come down! I am sure it will be a Christmas to remember! Landen and Caroline are some of the happiest people I know. They usually only cry for a good reason, yes they fight some, but all in all, they are the best two year olds I know! They are friendly, kind, and helpful to all around them. They genuinely have good hearts and it makes Aaron and I so very proud.

I hope you find this Christmas season joyous. I hope you are surrounded by family/friends. I know it's been a hard year for many and that is often in the back of my mind. The holidays aren't always the easiest, but I hope regardless, you all will find peace, love, and joy.

Merry Christmas!
