Happy New Year's Eve!

Hello There!
I hope this finds you all well. Two days ago I came down with the nasty stomach bug. I have never been so sick in my life. Ugh it hasn't been fun! I'm so thankful it came after all the Christmas festivities! It really would have ruined my first Christmas with the twins and Aaron. I was hoping to get all the decorations put away today and tomorrow but all of that is on the back burner for sure...so with that said I'll fill you in on our winter break.

The kiddos have been great! CrAzY busy and wearing us out! Landen loves to sit, crawl, and pull himself up onto things. He now officially is getting his eighth tooth so he's all evened out :-) Caroline is starting the motions of crawling but loves to roll around and talk, Talk, TALK! She is fun to have a conversation with! She is now in love with the exersaucer and bouncing in it.

Aaron's mom got the kiddos passes for Christmas to the Newport Aquarium and to the Zoo. We took advantage of it this past week and went to the Aquarium and BOY did L&C have fun! What a blast it was. They loved everything that was around them. Caroline squealed with joy through half of the aquarium. They both thought it was great! We enjoyed it ourselves too! We are looking forward to taking them to the zoo when it warms up a bit!

You talk about spoiling the kids with fabulous passes, but that wasn't where it ended for the twins. Landen got his first Lionel Polar Express Train from Grandpa and Grams (my parents) and Caroline got her first American Girl Doll named: Caroline. They each got beautiful handmade blankets from Aunt Summer and Uncle Luke, and fun books from Aunt Jenny and Uncle Kyle. And many other things that we much appreciate!! Christmas was fun. Aaron and I have learned that Christmas is a little more work now that we have kids, but boy do they make is so much fun! We ended our Christmas Eve by putting the kids in their pj's, giving them their bottle and loading them up into our Christmas present to look at Christmas lights!

We finally did it. I sold my truck about a two weeks ago and on the 23rd we finally bought a van. We have searched and searched and researched and researched and looked, and looked, and test driven, and I'm happy to say (THANK GOD I HAVE SPACE!!) we found something that satisfied our needs. We opted for the Chrysler Town and Country. They were having a fantastic end of year sale and it comes standard with leather and an entertainment system along with some other nice features. In case you were wondering it's red :-)

Needless to say, we are counting our every single blessing this year-down to the minivan ;-). I don't feel like I need to go back and recap the beginning of our year since you all have been along for the ride. I have to reiterate that I haven't forgotten about all the love and support everyone has given to our family. From the nurses at Good Sam, the Dr.'s at For Women, our church members, our work families, dearest friends, and our most loving, supportive, and dedicated family. Thank you for making 2012 the BEST year in our lives! You all helped us through what could have been a very difficult time, but you eased any worry and helped where you could to make things easier on us. We are forever thankful for you!! We are so excited to see what 2013 has to bring!

I was telling the twins this morning over breakfast how they will be having their first birthday and they will be headed to the beach in June for their first family vacation!! Enjoy your loved ones and little ones this New Year!!! Happy 2013 from our family to yours! Enjoy the last few (yea right-there is tons!) pictures of the kids in 2012!

She had me up really early one morning so I decided to put the silly hat on her as punishment (being silly of course)....she loved it in stead lol
