Hi Friends!

How are you? We are doing great here! The kiddos will be 18 months at the end of the month. I must say Landen and Caroline are SO much fun at this age!

Caroline is chatting up a storm, Landen knows how to feed the dogs (with just slight assistance ) and they both just Love each other. Landen will bring a toy to Caroline when she's sad and Caroline is sweet to bring Landen his water when she's thirsty. They really show through their actions how much they care for one another. It's really amazing when you see it in person.

With Halloween coming up we've been doing lots of fun things with our family. We went to Niederman's Farm for an afternoon of fun. We rode on the horse drawn wagon and picked pumpkins and they got to see the animals too. They both still LOVE goats!  While we were at the farm Landen walked up to the turkey pin and the turkey let out a HUGE gobble! Landen's expression was so cute. The gobble knocked him into Aaron's legs and he just smiled. He was blown away by it.

We went this past weekend to the zoo for Hallzooween with Nana. We all had a ball. The weather was perfect, the kids were in great moods, and we got to see a ton of animals! Including goats! It's neat to see how much the twins can do now at the zoo compared to early in the summer. They were climbing the wall on the playground up to the slide and going down on their own. They loved it!

They also were able to grasp the concept of brushing the goats.  A couple months ago Landen and Caroline would just walk around with the brush but now they actually get the concept of petting and brushing.

Landen makes a lot of facial expressions and he does a lot of pointing. While Caroline is miss social. She will go up to anyone and say, "hi!" A girl about 10 years old said  hi back to Caroline at the farm and gave her a high-five.

It's such joy watching them both change and grow. They are becoming such fun little people. As for Aaron and I, we're certainly keeping busy. We We feel like its a little easier with the kids now and we're comfortable now in our new roles as parents of twins.

Like many parents feel, we also feel like its hard for us to have quality time together... We're always together but it's like we're planning for the next hour, day, week, or month.  We pour all of our energy into the kids and we wouldn't change  that for the world.  But the tricky part is not getting caught up in the grind of the spinning wheel...it's almost like we have to snap ourselves out of reality and say ," hey! How are you today? How are we?"  I'm sure those of you who are parents can relate...if there was only more time :-)

We really hope you are well and happy and healthy!  There are some pictures of the kids below...

Love and Hugs!

Danielle
